SAAF Airmen in RAF Squadrons
Seven South Africans were on No 112 Squadron at the time, this photograph appears to only include Lt HJ Hanreck (front row 5th left) and an unidentified pilot (second row 3rd left). The Squadron operated Gladiators, Kittyhawk’s and finally Mustangs. Twelve of the fifty SAAF airmen who served on the squadron lost their lives.
